The 2026 Chevrolet Music Series is bringing serious heat this year. The fair is hosting 41 national recording acts, and every single concert is included in the price of admission.
You can catch shows at two main stages. Chevy Court hosts daily performances at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., while Suburban Park lights up at 8:00 p.m. each night.

The Suburban Park headliners include major throwbacks and hitmakers like The All-American Rejects, Sean Paul, Melissa Etheridge, Flo Rida, Ashanti, and ZZ Top.
Over at Chevy Court, you can vibe to The Commodores, Quiet Riot, Air Supply, Jesse McCartney, and Better Than Ezra.
A legacy of epic entertainment
This is not just any fair. Founded in 1841, it is actually the oldest state fair in the United States.
What started as a traveling agricultural showcase eventually found a permanent 375-acre home in Syracuse. Over the decades, it has evolved into a massive 13-day festival that regularly draws over a million visitors.
It is consistently ranked as one of the top five state fairs in the nation. The stages have seen legendary crowds, from Sonny and Cher breaking records in 1972 to Lainey Wilson drawing a massive crowd of 53,200 fans just a few years ago in 2023.

What to know before you go
Tickets are on sale right now at the fair’s official website. Since the New York State Fairgrounds is a 375-acre complex, you will want to wear comfortable shoes and come ready to explore.
Whether you are going for the agricultural exhibits, the thrilling Midway, or to sing along with Sean Paul, this upstate tradition is the perfect way to close out your summer.
