And this July, one of the city’s most beloved markets is giving shoppers something they’ve never had before: Grand Bazaar NYC is heading to Brooklyn for the first time in its 40+ year history.
On Saturday, July 18th, Grand Bazaar will head to Industry City for A Taste of Grand Bazaar Brooklyn Summer Pop-Up, and they’re bringing a curated selection of NYC’s best independent vendors, makers, artists, and vintage dealers with them.
To understand why this pop-up is such a big deal, you have to know Grand Bazaar NYC isn’t just any flea market.
What started as a humble school fundraiser in 1979 has grown into New York City’s oldest, largest, and most diverse curated weekly market, with more than 150 vendors and a mission that still gives back–every dollar of profit supports four local public schools.
So seeing it venture into Brooklyn for the very first time? That’s a pretty big deal!
Naturally, treasure-hunting New Yorkers are in for a real treat. The pop-up brings together a hand-picked selection of small businesses selling everything from vintage gems and handmade goods to original art, stylish fashion, home décor, and other can’t-find-it-anywhere-else pieces.
