Good News! NYC Is Only the Second-Most-Rat-Infested City in USofA!

If rats turn your stomach, then NYC at night is a never ending Halloween attraction. When they’re not stealing pizza in the subway they’re going through your garbage and training ninja turtles in the sewers (maybe not the last point, but you know what we mean).

The pest-control company Orkin recently released a study of the cities that have received the most pest-control treatments in the last year, and NYC received a record 29,314 complaints.  The only city that has a bigger rat problem that us, is Chicago. Now I know that instinctively there’s something inside all of us that feels a little sh*ty coming in second to another city, but in this case I think we can let it slide.

Here are the rest of the cities that featured on the list:

  1. Chicago
  2. New York
  3. Washington, D.C.
  4. Los Angeles
  5. San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose
  6. Baltimore
  7. Philadelphia
  8. Minneapolis-St. Paul
  9. Detroit
  10. Denver
  11. Seattle-Tacoma
  12. Boston
  13. Miami-Ft. Lauderdale
  14. Dallas-Ft. Worth
  15. Cleveland
  16. Atlanta
  17. Hartford & New Haven, Conn.
  18. Pittsburgh
  19. Indianapolis
  20. Portland, Ore.
