332 Bowery in NoHo is about to start pumping out smells of Thailand, and our mouths are already watering at the thought. Master Chef Nate Limwong is bringing authentic Thai street food to NoHo by way of a new restaurant Godunk, showcasing various regions of the country through elevated noodle bowls, seafood-driven dishes, and nostalgic comfort dishes.
Known for her acclaimed work at Chalong, where she secured a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and her opening of Unglo, Manhattan’s first Thai BBQ restaurant, Limwong draws from her global culinary background, weaving techniques and inspirations from her travels into meticulous broths and handcrafted sauces.
Celebrating the breadth and vibrancy of Thailand’s street food culture–from the seafood-rich South to the bold, aromatic flavors of the North–Godunk showcases both beloved classics and rarely seen regional specialties. And, being Limwong has worked in three different continents (Asia, Australia, and North America), she also brings a global perspective to her cooking.
Diners at Godunk can expect everything from beloved classics with luxurious updates to seldom-seen specialties.

Think: Nahm Tok Wagyu Noodle Soup, or wagyu boat noodles with pig’s blood, Hamachi with Spicy Lime Seafood Sauce, whose bright, tart heat is balanced with fresh herbs, and the iconic pink broth of Yen Ta Fo seafood, a famous Thai-Chinese classic that’s popular in Bangkok. Other highlights include:
- Dry Pok Pok Noodle – egg noodles tossed with soy-glazed roast pork, fish cake, and a concentrated broth reduction (“pok pok” mimics the sound of the vendor’s wooden stakes calling people to come grab a quick meal)
- Pae Zaa Striped Bass (Clear Tom Yum) – aromatic tom yum scented with lemongrass, galangal, and fresh chilies, with tender gently-poached striped bass
- Godunk Fried Rice – stir-friee Jasmine rice with sweet Chinese sweet sausage, salted egg yolk, shiitake mushrooms, soy sauce, and a touch of pepper for depth (inspired by ba jang, a Chinese sticky rice dish)
- Kai Jeaw Poo Kung (Thai Crab & Shrimp Omelet) – whipped eggs fried to a crisp golden edge with a fluffy inside, creating a cloud-like texture that envelopes sweet chunks of fresh crab meat and shrimp
- Crispy Gourami with Thai Herb Salad (Yum Pla Salid Tod) – gourami, or Thai river fish, tossed with a bright herb salad of lime, fish sauce, palm sugar, chilies, and shallots

Alongside the food is an inventive, romance film-inspired cocktail menu from Angel’s Share veteran Ryan Saputra.
Paying homage to iconic films through Thai and Asian ingredients, guests will find eight signature cocktails including Before Sunset, with milk washed pandan-infused Siete Misterios Mezcal, kaffir lime leaf cordial, coconut water, and pineapple, with a dried spicy mango garnish, and Lost in Translation, an espresso martini riff with jackfruit-infused Haku vodka, Mr. Black, caramel sauce, Campari, espresso, and cinnamon.

Set against a warm backdrop of of maroon and mocha hues and textured walls, Godunk celebrates the diversity of flavors found throughout Thailand’s streets, sidewalks, and alleys in a vintage cinema-inspired space. Its Instagram reads:
Born from a love of bold flavor, big energy, analog soul. More than just a place to eat, it’s a vibe.
We don’t know about you, but we certainly know where our next dinner out is going to be!
