This giant sleepover uses ambient sounds to lull you into the most epic slumber.
British composer Max Richter and a small orchestra will perform a live overnight concert of his album SLEEP, an eight hour masterpiece. The event will have its NYC debut at Spring Studios in Tribeca, where you’ll enter a room full of Beautyrest mattresses surrounding the stage.
The immersive concert has already been performed at SXSW in Austin, Berlin, Auckland, London, Madrid, Zurich, Sydney, Amsterdam, and Paris before making it’s way to New York. Of the experience, Richter says its a “personal lullaby for a frenetic world” and “a manifesto for a slower pace of existence.”
Richter’s experiential SLEEP performance will take place on May 4th and 5th. Doors will open at 9 p.m. and the concert will begin at 10:30 p.m. Tickets to the exclusive event will cost you.
