Hidden between Prince and Spring Streets in Nolita, Elizabeth Street Garden is one of Manhattan’s most enchanting hidden gems. Filled with winding brick pathways, sculptures, flowers, ivy-covered seating areas, and mature trees, the one-acre community garden feels worlds away from the busy streets just beyond its gates.
In it’s time, the community garden has become a symbol of neighborhood activism, repeatedly facing uncertainty over its future as redevelopment plans threatened the space. Thanks to years of passionate community support and ongoing preservation efforts, the garden continues to welcome New Yorkers—and this summer, its cherished movie nights are returning.

Elizabeth Street Garden’s free Movie Night in the Garden series takes place on select Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, transforming the lush urban oasis into one of the city’s most charming open-air cinemas.
This year’s lineup features three upcoming beloved films:

- 🎬 August 12: Kiki’s Delivery Service
- 🎬 August 26: North by Northwest
Each screening begins at 8 p.m., and admission is completely free and open to the public.
