Weekends in NYC can add up, but on May 3rd and 4th, you can get free museum admission to your favorite cultural attractions across Fifth Ave and beyond, so start mapping our your Saturday and Sunday accordingly.
We kid you not, New Yorkers: this free activity has your name on it, so pick out an exhibit and hop to it.
How to get free museum admission this weekend in NYC:
If you want a complimentary stroll across the halls of MoMA or the bucolic grounds of the New York Botanical Garden, you’re in luck. Bank of America cardholders are entitled to free access to attractions across NYC — and even the country — during the first full weekend of every month. (Good to keep in mind if you’re planning a weekend getaway in the near future.)
As for those of us who are staying in the Big Apple, here are the institutions with free access for Bank of America cardholders:
- Brooklyn Museum
- Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum
- Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
- New York Botanical Garden
- Staten Island Zoological Society
- The Jewish Museum (Sundays only)
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art – The Met Cloisters
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art – The Met Fifth Avenue
- The Museum of Modern Art (through September)
- Whitney Museum of American Art (May and August only)
Before scheduling your ticket, there are a few things to note about this free activity in NYC. First things first, the perk is available for both credit or debit cardholders during the first full weekend of every month. One free general admission is limited to the individual cardholder, and this offer is not transferable, does not guarantee admission, and cannot be combined with other offers.
For a full list of instructions, as well as a rundown of participating locations, you can visit the Bank of America website for more details. Where are you venturing? (You can find us outdoors at NYBG!)
Bank of America cardholder or not, be sure to peruse some of our favorite museums and art galleries in NYC for an extraordinary day out.
