SummerStage’s 40th anniversary season is rolling on, and music lovers are in for a serious treat later this month.
The iconic concert series is teaming up with the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) and The Latin Recording Academy to bring three massive Latin music showcases to NYC. Best of all? Every single show is completely free.
Whether you are craving classic salsa, sun-drenched Latin pop, or explosive hip-hop, here is what you need to know about the upcoming lineup.
A night of Latin pop in Central Park
The series kicks off on Wednesday, July 29, at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield. Headlining the night is GRAMMY-winning Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas, known for her sun-drenched pop anthems and rock en español roots.
She will be joined by Venezuelan pop star Lasso—the breakout singer behind the Latin GRAMMY-winning hit “Ojos Marrones”—as well as rapper Micro TDH and DJ Anamaria Sayre. Doors open at 5:00 PM, with music running from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Salsa royalty returns to The Bronx
On Thursday, July 30, salsa icon La India is heading back to her South Bronx roots for a special hometown performance in Crotona Park.
Dubbed the “Princess of Salsa” by Celia Cruz, La India will take the stage alongside MD Bobby Allende. DJ Tony Touch and DJ Lucho will be on the decks to keep the crowd dancing from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Next-gen Latin hip-hop in Central Park
The celebration wraps up on Saturday, August 1, back at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park.
This high-energy showcase spotlights the future of Latin urban music. Expect explosive sets from Argentine rap stars Trueno and Milo J, alongside Dominican breakout artist J Noa.

All three performances are free to attend and open to all ages.
