Inhale… exhale…
In a sprawling metropolis like New York City, moments of genuine calm can sometimes feel as elusive as an empty subway car at rush hour. Between the endless notifications, packed schedules, and the constant symphony of honking horns, finding a chance to slow down can take a little effort. This summer, however, Bryant Park is inviting New Yorkers to do exactly that.
The beloved Midtown green space is launching a global celebration of wellness, transforming the heart of Manhattan into an open-air sanctuary dedicated to movement, mindfulness, and a little much-needed deep breathing. The seasonal series will bring together wellness experiences inspired by traditions from around the world, giving city dwellers a chance to reset, recharge, and reconnect, without ever leaving the borough.
🧘♀️ Twice-Weekly Classes for Every Level
Back for its 23rd remarkable year, Bryant Park Yoga presented by Halara has officially kicked off its summer season, running from May 27 through September 16, 2026. The free series welcomes yogis of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to practice in the fresh air.
To fit into the hectic schedules of New Yorkers, classes are held twice a week at alternating times and locations within the park:
- Tuesdays at 10:00 AM: Held on the Upper Terrace—perfect for a morning energy boost.
- Wednesdays at 6:00 PM: Held on the main lawn—the ultimate way to unwind after a long workday.
This year’s series features an impressive roster of the tri-state area’s most talented and sought-after yoga instructors, retreat leaders, and fitness experts. Throughout the summer, attendees can experience a diverse array of practices, ranging from meditative, alignment-focused flows to high-energy Vinyasa sequences.

First-Ever “Bryant Park Yoga Day” Celebrates Global Wellness
In addition to the weekly schedule, Bryant Park is pulling out all the stops for a first-of-its-kind celebration. On Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the park will transform into a full wellness oasis in honor of Global Wellness Day.
The event will feature two complimentary 45-minute classes on the lawn—a high-energy session led by Tootsie Olan at 10:00 AM, followed by a zen flow led by Kristin McGee at 11:15 AM.

Beyond the physical practice, the lawn gravel will host activity tents open to the public starting at 9:30 AM, featuring a curated lineup of free, self-guided reflective workshops:
- Seated Meditation: Tune into peace with Silent Disco headphones playing guided meditations and relaxing melodies.
- Mala Bracelet Making: Craft your own traditional “Meditation Beads” using a custom string of 27 beads.
- Henna Body Art: Enjoy complimentary, temporary body tattooing from professional henna artists.
- Mandala Coloring: Decompress by coloring pre-made outlines or drawing your own symbol of balance and harmony.
- Affirmation Station: Take a moment to manifest by writing personal intentions or leaving words of inspiration for fellow New Yorkers.

While all classes and activities are entirely free, pre-registration is required, and participants must bring their own yoga mats. To secure your spot on the grass and view the complete summer instructor schedule, visit bryantpark.org.
