It might very well be Fred again.. week here in New York City.
The wildly popular electronic artist has not only been teasing new music on his Instagram in recent weeks, but also a surprise concert in NYC on Tuesday night (June 17.)
Fred again.. has been seen over the past couple of days on his Instagram stories dropping hints he’s headed to the Big Apple, including screenshots of text messages with other collaborators about a show, airport outtake videos en route to NYC, and even a selfie video of him in a car captioned “We are SO happy to be back here I cannot even sayyyyyy.”
While no concrete information has been confirmed quite yet, music fans across the boroughs have been deep in detective mode trying to track down the event.
Rumors have swirled it might take place at Under the K Bridge Park in Maspeth, Queens, or even a repeat show at Queens’ Knockdown Center like he did with Lil Yachty last year.
As of now, no venue has been confirmed.
The reason Fred again.. is back in town is to promote new music with long-time UK rapper Skepta, rising DJ and producer Kettama, plus much more.
According to one of his latest IG stories, he’ll be making an announcement (presumably about the show) live on his Twitch channel at 4 pm ET.
Fred again..’s inevitable return marks his first NYC appearance since his NYFW Knockdown Center pop-up show in February 2024. He also played Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium and Madison Square Garden with Skrillex and Four Tet in 2023, plus multiple shows at Terminal 5 in 2022.

After much speculation, a pop-up Fred again.. show is happening at Brooklyn Paramount tonight at 7 pm.
The event is dubbed the “fred and skepta release party” and tickets go on sale at 5:30 pm.

As of now, the Ticketmaster link to the event has crashed, with more information coming soon.
Fred again is currently streaming live on Twitch right now, debuting new music from an undisclosed location in New York City.
According to stream, the link “hasn’t dropped yet” and “tickets will only be online btw.”
