Tonight, Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks will end with a grand finale in an undisclosed location.
The annual fireworks have been displayed this year over the course of an entire week to keep crowds from forming in any one location to watch the spectacle, due to the concerns surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, Macy’s decided to bring the fireworks to all New Yorkers throughout the five boroughs with “surprise” displays each night in a number of different places.
Tonight, a grand finale is planned to take place, and although an exact location has not been released, all are welcome to watch Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular from home on NBC. The show, which will take place from 8pm until 10pm tonight, will include a performance by John Legend, and “will feature Mayo Clinic surgeon Dr. Elvis and Alicia Keys, who will perform salutes to front line workers,” according to NBC.
There will also be a virtual performance by the Young People’s Chorus of NYC.
