It’s quite the time to be a theater buff.
On the heels of Broadway Week’s 2-for-1 deals comes the news about Founded By Broadway, a free mega performance from the best shows in town, all in honor of NYC’s 400th anniversary.
The Great White Way will be buzzing with activity over the next few weeks, and we highly suggest taking part in the excitement. After all, it’s quite the milestone.
Founded By Broadway
To honor NYC’s rich history, the “Founded By NYC” initiative hosted year-long celebrations and events, including the forthcoming Founded By Broadway.
Cast members from 22 shows will gather in Times Square to belt out hits from their respective shows. (We sure hope you have the classics memorized!)

“For four centuries, history has happened here. And in 2025, through our ‘Founded By NYC’ campaign, we will celebrate all those who came here from around the world over those 400 years to build our great city — the New Yorkers whose vibrant culture, innovation, and abilities continue to make us the envy of the world today,” NYC Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement.
Needless to say, Broadway has been a significant part of NYC history, so why not indulge in a free activity celebrating the most iconic theater community in the world?
