New Yorkers don’t usually associate Penn Station with holiday magic–but that’s about to change in a big way. This December, the city’s busiest transit hub is transforming into a winter shopping destination as it debuts its first-ever Penn Station Holiday Market, bringing festive cheer, local vendors, and giftable finds right into Amtrak’s main passenger concourse.
For four merry days only–from Wednesday, December 10 through Saturday, December 13–the station’s historic rotunda will glow with what organizers are calling a dose of “subterranean charm.”
Commuters, travelers, and holiday shoppers alike will be invited to browse an eclectic mix of artisan goods without ever stepping outside into the cold!

The pop-up market will feature a rotating lineup of local vendors selling everything from vintage fashion and handmade jewelry to books, art, and collectibles, making it an ideal stop for anyone still working through their holiday shopping list. Whether you’re searching for a last-minute gift or something special for yourself, you’ll find plenty to explore.
Among the standout vendors:
- Rail Records and Books – a dream stop for the music and book lover in your life, offering used books, new and vintage vinyl, cassettes, and CDs (they’ll also be hosting a giveaway for an AudioTechnica turntable during the market)
- Jen Wang Studios – known for adorable, city-inspired prints that capture NYC’s charm
- Nunumia Vintage & Hanzaya Market – two vintage clothing vendors filling the concourse with racks of cozy coats, sweaters, and unique winter apparel
- Sumak Art – offering artisan goods from Ecuador, including comfy sweaters for all ages and handmade jewelry
- Concept Boutique – featuring celestial motifs and geometric jewelry pieces that make for perfect stocking stuffers
Adding even more holiday spirit to the experience, DMC of Run DMC will be on-site throughout the market hosting a toy drive and handing out free “DMC Cookies,” blending festive generosity with classic NYC cultural flair.
The Penn Station Holiday Market is produced by DCBB Productions, the team behind popular markets at Washington, D.C.’s Union Station–including Rail Market, Main Hall Holiday Market, and West Porch Fridays farmers market–bringing their experience straight to Midtown.
Best of all, you don’t need a train ticket to attend. Anyone can stop by, shop small, and soak up the unexpected holiday vibes in one of the busiest places in the city.
