Farm One is the vertical farm located in TriBeCa, known for its fresh selection of edible flowers, herbs, microgreens and other varieties of greens all year round. Curious what exactly an indoor farm looks like? Take a tour inside!
The combination of LED lighting, hydroponics and technology (that we won’t get into) allows for the growth and production of over 200 culinary plants at Farm One. Although it might seem unusual, the crops are 100% pesticide free and take 95% less water to grow than the everyday outdoor farms we’re used to…extra points for being environmentally friendly! Their customers include Michelin-star NYC restaurants such as Eleven Madison Park, Atera, Daniel, Chef’s Table and more.
If you’re curious about what takes place inside Manhattan’s only vertical farming company, the 1 hour guided tour gives you special insight into the scientific process, tasters of a dozen herbs/microgreens/edible flowers that you can’t find anywhere else in the city and delicious complimentary prosecco to wash it all down. At the end of the tour you’ll get your own personalised gift to continue your hydroponic experience in the outside world.
