Looking for the perfect weekend escape? We have you covered. FAD Market is returning to Governors Island for its final pop-up of the season.
This beloved curated makers market is taking over King Ave on July 25 and 26. This is your last chance this year to shop their brand-new lineup of independent creators in one of the city’s most unique outdoor settings.
Shop from over 40 independent makers
Get ready to browse through a massive selection of unique local goods. The market will feature more than 40 independent makers, designers, artists, and small businesses.
You can expect to find a little bit of everything. The vendors will be offering handcrafted jewelry, apparel, ceramics, fine art, specialty foods, home goods, bath and body products, and more.

Featured makers you can’t miss
Every FAD Market brings a thoughtfully curated, fresh lineup of talent across art, design, fashion, and food. Here are a few highlights you need to check out this weekend:
- Designs ByFrancesC: A New York-based artist offering playful illustrated stickers, greeting cards, and prints inspired by everyday life.
- izzi doro: A Brooklyn-based producer selling family-grown extra virgin olive oil sourced from eight generations of groves in southern Italy.
- Niachelli: A brand featuring sustainable luxury swimwear and activewear made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which is created from recovered ocean waste.
- Sandman Productions NY: A creator of handcrafted live-edge wood boards made from Kentucky Coffee Tree, Spalted Maple, and Black Cherry.
- Jillian Trumpet Creative: An artist offering handcrafted batik artwork, as well as a hands-on activity where visitors of all ages can create their own batik painting on-site.

Make a full island day out of it
Governors Island is a 120-acre car-free green space featuring sweeping views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. You can easily spend the whole day exploring public art, bike rentals, playgrounds, and expansive green areas like Hammock Grove and Slide Hill.
Even better, this market weekend coincides with the 6th Annual Jazz by the Water™ Concert Series. This free outdoor concert takes place from 12-5pm on Saturday, July 25, at Colonels Row Green. You can sit back and listen to acclaimed international and local jazz musicians.
When you get hungry, you have plenty of waterfront dining options to choose from. Grab a bite at island favorites like Fauzia’s, Pizzeria Fantastica, Six Coasts by Smorgasburg, and Threes Brewing. You can also wrap up the perfect summer day with drinks at The Collective Retreat’s Sunset Terrace.
