One Instagram account is gazing at infinity right now.
For those of you missed Yayoi Kusama’s exhibit in NYC this fall—or who’d simply like to gaze into the dazzling infinity—Instagram has the solution. (Featured image: @wanderonworld)
Since opening in 2015, The Broad gallery in Los Angeles has been home to an infinity room named The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away. It’s the gallery’s most popular attraction, and handily, curators took the decision to commit the breathtaking scenes to camera. Now, they’ve paired the footage with music composed by local musicians and sound artists, and have been releasing them on their Instagram page every week.
It can’t quite capture the breathless rush, the feeling of falling into starlight which a Kusama infinity room often provides, but the footage is still an excellent way to get a glimpse of the room. Plus, with new music arriving each week, you can aim for a new emotional response each time you pay a visit!
