Taste of East Harlem is back this weekend for its second year, and it’s the block party you don’t want to miss.
Put on by Union Settlement’s “Buy Local Initiative,” the three hour long event will take place on Friday evening, June 21, and bring together some of the best dishes from over a dozen of the area’s varied cuisines. The tastings will showcase East Harlem’s diverse culinary offerings including bites influenced by Caribbean, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Italian, and Dominican flavors, among many others.
Taste of East Harlem’s annual experience hosts delicious local restaurants and vendors to highlight the sensational dishes this community has to offer. There will also be local craft beers and cocktails to enjoy, in addition to live music by Ochun Afro-Latin Band to really spice up the night.
The block-wide party will run from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Union Settlement Community Garden.
