This sort of thing only happens in NYC…and we love it!

At about 7pm on Sunday evening (November 24) the most inclusive Thanksgiving feast took over the L-train from Union Square into Brooklyn. Anyone who happened to get onto the car was made a plate—and yes, there was a full turkey onboard the L-train being carved up and doled out to straphangers! There was also mashed potatoes, collard greens, mac and cheese, and (by the looks of it) plenty of bubbly to go around.

This wonderful act of kindness was planned for months, and was thought up by New York comedian Jodell Lewis. In collaboration with a handful of NYC artists and the work of Chef Bea, this feast a became a reality. According to Lewis (and from the toast that can be heard in the video below) this kind act was about giving back and bringing good food to everyone this Thanksgiving holiday.
