Bryant Park isn’t the only curling destination in NYC this winter, as Edge is introducing the Sky Chalet. New Yorkers will now have the opportunity to partake in a favorite winter time sport more than 1,000 feet above NYC streets at the city’s highest indoor/outdoor sky deck.
For those who are unsure, curling is a team sport, seen in the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, that involves sliding stones towards a target area on ice. The goal of the sport is to get your stones closer to the center of the house or “button” than your opponent’s stones.
Edge’s Sky Chalet will have three curling lanes available to rent for 50-minute sessions, starting at $99. Access to visit Edge’s indoor and outdoor skydeck are included with all lane reservations. You can reserve a lane online or at the Edge Guest Services Counter on Level 4 of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards.
If you work up an appetite while playing, food and drink packages will be available for purchase either online in advance or on-site. Drink packages include an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. Meanwhile, the food packages offers options between a chicken & waffle platter or a hot dog platter.
Edge is also home to City Climb, where visitors can scale the outside of the building, and seasonal sky-high yoga, pilates and kick-boxing.
