The East Village restaurant known for its delicious Ukrainian comfort food, Veselka, is back in action.
They have re-opened for takeout and delivery from Monday through Friday between 12 and 8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-8pm. Veselka has been open in the heart of the East Village for over 65 years, and has become beloved by New Yorkers (and has even been featured in movies like Ocean’s 8!). They are now serving a “limited menu of all-time favorites,” via their website, GrubHub, and Caviar.
Some highlights? Five different flavors of pierogi, latkes, borscht soup, and even entrees like beef stroganoff and chicken paprikash.
Here’s more of the menu, and you can read the full version here:
At the same time, nearby café neighbor and bakery Veniero’s, known for its mouthwatering Italian pastries, are now open again as well. You can order for pickup or delivery on their website here. Choose from cheesecakes, cannoli kits, classic Italian cookie trays, and more.
Whoever you order from, it’s clear there’s lots of good eating in the East Village!
