In late 2016, Drake announced the opening of a permanent flagship store for his OVO clothing line at 54 Bond Street in the NoHo. The new store came on the heels of several successful OVO pop-up shops in SoHo — and the rapper himself showed up to celebrate the grand opening on December 10.
In general, Drizzy loves surprising his NY fans. In the same year, he also showed up unannounced to a girl’s bar mitzvah at Manhattan’s Rainbow Room, performing “Hotline Bling” and more for a room full of stunned guests. However, Drake’s NYC concert story started with his first headline shows at South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan. Since then, he’s sold out iconic NYC venues like the Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden.
Drake concerts in NYC
While there are no announced plans for any upcoming concerts in The Big Apple, you can hear his biggest hits in a whole new way at a tribute concert in NoHo. This time, Candlelight is reimagining his most popular songs with the help of Highline String Quartet. The first date in July has already sold out, but seats for the second date in August at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture are still up for grabs.
The setlist for the candlelit tribute to the Canadian star includes renditions of Marvins Room, Passionfruit, Controlla and God’s Plan. You can get your tickets here.

Drizzy’s favorite spots in the city
Carbone in Greenwich Village is one of Drake’s fav Italians in NYC (and it’s one of Bad Bunny’s too). The “God’s Plan” rapper is also a regular at Tatiana, an Afro-Caribbean eatery located on the Upper West Side. In true Certified Lover Boy style, he famously covered the tab for everyone dining there last Valentine’s Day.
Once dinner’s done, he’s all about hitting up Manhattan’s most exclusive clubs including The Highlight Room and The Ned. Champagne Papi has been spotted in NY popping bottles with the likes of Steph Curry and PARTYNEXTDOOR until the early hours of the morn.
