Es hat 100 Jahre gedauert, bis sie fertig war! Minnie ist auf dem Weg nach Midtown für die Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024 , eine Tradition, die bis ins Jahr 1924 zurückreicht.
Obwohl es kaum zu glauben ist, dass eine der bekanntesten Disney-Figuren nie einen Ballon in der jährlichen Parade hatte, wird sie dieses Jahr endlich ihre wohlverdiente Zeit im Rampenlicht bekommen. Jeff Shelly, der Leiter der Kunstabteilung des Unternehmens, ist dafür verantwortlich, die kleine Maus in einem größeren Maßstab zum Leben zu erwecken – 60 Fuß, um genau zu sein – und ihre typischen roten Tupfen und ihren überschäumenden Geist einzufangen. Wir können es natürlich kaum erwarten.
„Macy’s und Disney haben neunzig Jahre lang gemeinsam Magie geschaffen und ein Erbe aufgebaut, das von mehreren Generationen geliebt wird“, so Nata Dvir, Chief Merchandising Officer bei Macy’s.
Zeitgleich mit ihrem Debüt bei der Parade hat das Kaufhaus landesweit in 200 Filialen Mickey und Minnie Shops eröffnet und eine exklusive Kollektion für Fans jeden Alters herausgebracht. Dazu gehören Kate Spade-Ledertaschen mit Minnie-Motiven, rosa Majoretten-Pullover und rote Midikleider (natürlich), um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen.
Wenn Ihre Kleinen große Mäusefans sind, finden Sie Minnie neben Mickey auch auf einem Disney Cruise-Wagen, also halten Sie Ausschau, egal ob Sie in der Stadt unterwegs sind oder von zu Hause aus zusehen. Obwohl diese Minnie viel kleiner ist, wird sie von den Zuschauern der Parade genauso geliebt werden.
Chrissy Anderson, Vice President, North America Brand Commercialization bei Disney Consumer Products, fügte hinzu: „Fans jeden Alters werden die Gelegenheit haben, Minnie Mouse und ihren unverwechselbaren Charme bei ihrem Debüt in der diesjährigen Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade zu erleben.“
