Die Herbsttagundnachtgleiche rückt näher, und mit ihr die schönsten Farben der Saison!
Neben kuscheligen Pullovern und warmen Getränken gehört es zu den schönsten Seiten des Herbstes, sich an den leuchtenden Farben der Blätter in Rot, Orange und Gelb zu erfreuen.
Und in diesem Jahr ist es einfacher denn je zu erkennen, wann die Blätter sich verändern. I LOVE NY hat seinen jährlichen Herbstlaubbericht neu aufgelegt und veröffentlicht während der Saison wöchentliche Berichte!
Der Bericht für Woche 3 ( 25. September – 1. Oktober ) zeigt, dass sich die Blätter im Norden des Landes verändern und die Farben in den Adirondacks fast ihren Höhepunkt erreichen. Wenn Sie sich in der Gegend aufhalten, sollten Sie die Bäume im Auge behalten, denn in den meisten Teilen der Region wird es am Wochenende große Veränderungen geben. In den südlicheren Teilen des Staates, wie den Catskills, können die New Yorker erwarten, dass sich die Blätter in der Mitte der Veränderung befinden.
In New York City werden Laubsammler diese Woche (und auch in den nächsten) nicht viel Glück haben, da es derzeit nur sehr wenig zu beobachten gibt. Der Karte zufolge wird es an der Lower East Side einen Farbwechsel von 5 % geben. Der Höhepunkt der Laubfärbung in NYC ist jedoch eher Ende Oktober zu erwarten.
Laut der Karte war NYC in den vergangenen Jahren immer eines der letzten Gebiete, in denen die Laubfärbung ihren Höhepunkt erreichte. Im letzten Jahr war das nicht anders, denn NYC erreichte seinen Höhepunkt in der 8. und letzten Woche der Karte.
Die detaillierte Karte enthält die Ergebnisse von über 85 Beobachtern vor Ort und spiegelt die erwarteten Farbbedingungen für die kommenden Wochenenden im gesamten Bundesstaat New York wider. Außerdem können Sie sehen, welche Regionen die perfekten Reiseziele für einen schönen Herbstausflug sind.
In jedem Bericht, der von der Empire State Development’s Division of Tourism (I LOVE NY) zusammengestellt wird, teilen freiwillige Laubbeobachter alles mit – von den vorherrschenden Laubfarben über den ungefähren Prozentsatz der Veränderung bis hin zu der Frage, wie weit die Farbveränderung in den einzelnen Regionen des Staates bereits fortgeschritten ist.
