Holi ist ein beliebtes altes hinduistisches Fest, auch bekannt als das Fest der Liebe, das Fest der Farben oder das Fest des Frühlings. Dieses aufregende Fest ist als Indiens lebhaftestes und fröhlichstes Fest bekannt geworden, bei dem oft mit Farbpulver und Wasserballons geworfen wird. Obwohl es seinen Ursprung in Südasien hat, ist es inzwischen in der ganzen Welt beliebt.

Kinder können ein interaktives Paintball-Wandbild, Tanzworkshops, köstliche Verkostungen, Kunstaktivitäten, ein Puppentheater und natürlich farbiges Pulver erleben! 3. Feiern Sie Holi im Brooklyn Children’s Museum
Besuchen Sie das Brooklyn Children’s Museum für einen Tag voller Spaß und Holi-Pulver. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Ajna Dance Company und The Culture Tree erwartet Sie ein Tag voller Kunst, Tanz, Essen und Musik! Ziehen Sie sich auf jeden Fall weiß an, denn das Hauptereignis besteht darin, in den Brower Park zu gehen und sich mit verschiedenfarbigem Puder zu bedecken! 4. Feiern Sie Holi im NYPL
Die Autorin Anu Sehgal, Gründerin von The Culture Tree, wird in der New York Public Library aus ihrem ersten Buch über Holi lesen. Diese spezielle zweisprachige (Hindi und Englisch) Buchlesung von Kahani Rangeeli wird eine der alten Geschichten von Holi und wie es gefeiert wird, vermitteln. In dieser Sitzung werden die Kinder Krishna, Sudama und Radha als Puppen kennen lernen. Anschließend gibt es eine Bastelaktion und Holi-Gesichtsbemalung. Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier.
