That’s exactly what Molly’s Cupcakes offers in its delightful Greenwich Village bakery. It makes sense with its concept too, since the business is actually named after owner and baker Johnny Nicolaides’s third grade teacher.
He says, “Whenever one of us had a birthday, she would bake us cupcakes. I still remember how good they were. She had her own special recipe for chocolate and vanilla. Just about everyone who tries them thinks they’re the best cupcakes ever.”
To take it one step further, in honor of Molly they donate a portion of their profits directly to schools in their community. Molly’s Cupcakes also has locations in Chicago, Iowa, and Cincinnati.
They bake their cupcakes from scratch in small batches throughout each day, so they are always extremely fresh! They are famous for their center-filled cupcakes in flavors like cake batter, creme brûlée, peanut butter Nutella, cookie monster, peach cobbler, and many more.
If that wasn’t enough, there is also a create-your-own-cupcake station where you can pick your own cake, frosting and toppings, and a dedicated sprinkle station!
