There are few truly magical places in NYC, where you feel as if you’ve escaped the city and have been transported to another age. These classical concerts, lit by glowing candles in the stunning Corpus Christi Catholic Church, are surely one of them.
Take refuge from non-stop city life at this concert series that has met tremendous success all over Europe where it first started, and since it opened in New York City only a few short months ago. Simply known as Candlelight, the Fever Originals event invites everyone to relive the greatest works of classical music, from Vivaldi to Mozart to Bach, in an intimate atmosphere.
Located in Morningside Heights, Corpus Christi Catholic Church was designed in 1935 by architect Wilfred Edwards Anthony in the neo-Georgian style. Complete with Bohemian crystal chandeliers and a unique American “colonial” interior, it shines with rich history and significance.
By the warm glow of candlelight, enjoy as the best of classical music comes to life inside a historic setting. The Candlelight concerts range from exquisite string quartets performing the best of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Tchaikovsky, to pianist renditions of works by Beethoven and Brahms.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
The Candlelight series takes place twice each night with two back to back 60-65 minute performances. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each show.
