There are plenty of fall things to do in NYC, but sometimes you need a little more space than the concrete jungle can offer. Just outside the city, farms are turning their fields into massive corn mazes, complete with winding paths, hidden clues, and plenty of opportunities to question your sense of direction.
From sprawling 10-acre labyrinths to family-friendly mini mazes, these spots make for an easy fall day trip, with pumpkin picking, hayrides, apple cider donuts, and more often waiting nearby.
So grab your friends, family, or whoever you trust to actually read a map, and head out to one of these corn mazes in and near NYC this fall.
Queens County Farm Museum — Queens
New York City’s only corn maze, The Amazing Maize Maze at Queens County Farm Museum, is back again for the season, open on Saturdays and Sundays now through November 1, 2026 11 am – 4 pm.
The adventure begins with a Stalk Talk to prepare you for the challenge of finding clues, solving puzzles, and mazing your way to Victory Bridge, where the stunning vista of this 3-acre living labyrinth is revealed.
Tickets cost $17 for adults and $10 for children ages 3–11 (children 2 and under are free).
Stony Hill Farms — Chester, NJ
Boasting the title of the “largest corn maze in New Jersey,” this 10-acre adventure features a new theme every year.
This year’s corn maze theme is “NJ 250,” because not only does the USA turn 250 this year, but so does New Jersey! Full of winding paths and misleading walkways, you’ll learn facts about NJ as you navigate the twisting pathways of the giant corn maze and stop at activity stations along the way.
Beyond the corn maze, the farm also features a pumpkin patch, hayrides, rides and games, concessions, and more. Open now through November 1, 2026, tickets cost $21.99 plus tax for maze and farm entry. Children 2 and under are free.
Argos Farm — Forked River, NJ
Put your sense of direction to the test at this fall farm festival in Forked River, New Jersey, where you can make your way through the on-site corn maze before sticking around for even more autumn fun.
Running on select dates from September 12 through November 1, 2026, the festival invites visitors to navigate the winding corn maze, snap unlimited photos, and enjoy activities including wagon rides, a jumbo jumper air pillow, gauntlet obstacle course, double sack slide, ball zone, and more.
Once you find your way out, refuel with apple cider donuts, kettle corn, fresh pizza, street corn, burgers, and other seasonal treats, or catch live music on weekends.
The festival is open 10 am – 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with select weekday hours in September and October. Weekend admission starts at $19.95 online ($23.95 at the gate), while weekday admission is $14.95 online ($17.95 at the gate).
Harbes Family Farm — Mattituck, NY
Follow the yellow brick road through the Wizard of Oz-themed corn maze at Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck, where Dorothy and Toto need a little help finding their way home. Along the way, you’ll encounter familiar faces like the Tin Woodsman, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow as you wind your way through the corn.
The maze is especially suited for younger kids, with the pumpkin field right next door. It’s set to reopen September 19, with admission costing $6 on weekdays and $7 on weekends and holidays. You can also bundle your maze visit with a weekend or holiday hayride for $12.
After making your way out, stick around for pumpkin picking, apple cider donuts, fresh-picked produce, farmstand treats, and seasonal ice cream—because you’ll probably need a snack after all that navigating.
Kelder’s Farm — Kerhonkson, NY
Put your navigation skills to the test at Kelder’s Farm’s changing corn maze, where the layout gets a refresh with each season. The maze is part of the farm’s annual Fall Festival, running from September 12 through November 1, 2026, making it a fun stop for a full day of autumn activities.
Once you make your way through the maze, you can keep the fall fun going with U-pick pumpkins, weekend hayrides, 35+ farm attractions, friendly farm animals, and plenty of food and drinks. There’s even a taproom serving local beer, wine, and hard cider for the adults.
Admission starts at $18.95 online for Farm Day Admission, while the Pick & Play ticket, which includes pumpkin picking, starts at $25.95. Children 2 and under and adults 80 and over get in free.
F&W Schmitt’s Family Farm — Melville, NY
Get lost in 7 acres of corn at Schmitt’s Family Farm’s annual Fall Festival, where the massive maze features a special patriotic design celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. The maze is included with admission, so you can spend as long as you like navigating its winding paths before moving on to the rest of the farm.
The fall festival also features pumpkin picking, tractor hayrides, a pumpkin patch playground, a mega slide, mini golf, mechanical pig races, basketball hoops, photo ops, and more family-friendly activities. There’s also a farm stand stocked with fresh pies, apples, cider, jams, mums, Indian corn, and fall decorations to take home.
Festival dates and admission prices for 2026 are still TBD, with tickets expected to be available at the door. Once dates are announced, the festival is expected to run on weekends from 10 am – 5 pm, with select weekday hours.
Outhouse Orchards — North Salem, NY
Get lost in a 5-acre corn maze at Outhouse Orchards, where you’ll navigate winding paths and an interactive game as part of your fall farm adventure. The maze is an optional add-on to the farm’s Fall Festival admission and costs $7 per person online or $10 at the farm, weather permitting.
The Fall Festival is running now through November 1, 2026, with admission including a scenic hayride, pumpkin patch, bounce houses, photo ops, and more.
You can also add on apple picking, flower picking, gem mining, and, of course, the corn maze. And don’t leave without grabbing some of the farm’s famous apple cider donuts.
Ort Farms — Long Valley, NJ
Get lost in the corn maze at Ort Farms, a longtime fall favorite in New Jersey. The farm turns its fields into a maze each fall, making it a great excuse to get out of NYC and put your sense of direction to the test.
There’s plenty more to do once you make your way out, including apple picking, a 5-acre sunflower trail, hayrides, cow train rides, pick-your-own vegetables, food trucks, and apple cannons. This year, the farm’s apple orchard is already open daily, with Honeycrisp and Gala apples currently available for picking.
Alstede Farms — Chester, NJ
Put your sense of direction to the test at Alstede Farms’ giant themed corn maze, which is officially open for the season. As you make your way through the maze, you’ll encounter stops where you can learn interesting facts about the year’s theme, making this more than just a walk through the corn.
The daytime corn maze is included with Pick Your Own admission, and for an extra challenge, the farm also hosts its Harvest Moon Hayride, where you can attempt the maze at night by flashlight. The maze is open every day in season, typically from September through early November, though dates are weather dependent.
There’s even more exploring to do around the farm, including the Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail and the Evergreen Adventure Maze, a separate maze that winds through a forest of evergreen trees. Both are included with Pick Your Own admission, so you can turn your corn maze adventure into a full day on the farm.
Hank’s Pumpkintown — Watermill, NY
Get lost in three interactive corn mazes at Hank’s PumpkinTown in Water Mill, New York, where each maze offers a different challenge for all ages. The biggest is a 7-acre corn maze filled with interactive games and activities along the way, so you’ll have more to do than simply figure out which way is out.
The Maze Park is packed with 30+ attractions, including unlimited wagon rides and family corn train rides on weekends, a 50-foot tube slide, pedal cart races, duck races, a pumpkin jump pad, combine slide, tractor seesaws, mechanical corn diggers, and plenty of kid-friendly play areas. There are also narrated rides through the corn and pumpkin fields, plus plenty of classic fall treats like apple cider donuts, caramel apples, roasted corn, and cider.
Hank’s PumpkinTown opens for the 2026 season on September 12, with Maze Park hours from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. Weekend and holiday Maze Park admission is $24 per person, while weekday admission is $17 and includes access to all three corn mazes and 30+ attractions. Children under 2 are free.
