Louis Vuitton may be known for their iconic canvas print, but this giant burst of color on their flagship 5th Avenue store is bringing them a whole new level of attention.
It’s safe to say that brand recognition for LV is pretty darn high. But as an attempt to hype up the 2019 Spring/Summer Men’s collection, creative director, Virgil Abloh has brought a larger than life, rainbow mural of a very well dressed man to one of the brand’s most visited NYC locations.
The mural, located at 1 East 57 Street, is apparently inspired by Abloh’s favorite story, The Wizard of Oz. If you look closely, you can even see a bit of the yellow brick road, and the field of red poppies peeping out of the window displays.
For the next few days, visitors can take a sneak peek at the new ready-to-wear, accessories, and leather goods on display.
