After three decades of serving up the best hot chocolate in NYC and closing down operations in 2019, City Bakery’s signature item will make an incredible comeback just in time for hot chocolate season!
Following the closure, Maury Rubin, creator, baker and hot chocolate maker of City Bakery, founded a craft chocolate, spirits, and cocktails brand known as Color of Chocolate. Rubin will sell his hot chocolate at the Color of Chocolate Pop Up hosted at Urbanspace Vanderbilt this winter.
Hot cocoa fanatics will be able to order Milk and Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolates or refer to the Happy Hour menu for boozy hot chocolate from 5-6 p.m. The alcoholic drinks include mouthwatering creations like Bourbon Hot Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate with Tequila and Chili Pepper, Eggnog with White Chocolate, and Beer Hot Chocolate.
The Color of Chocolate Pop Up will open on Friday, November 3. It will operate Monday-Saturday from 12–6 p.m.
