According to a new study from Zillow, there are plenty of residents in surrounding cities — and some far-flung cities — that wish they were setting up shop in New York, and we certainly can’t blame them.
While the place we call home is considered one of the most expensive cities and congested cities, it is also one of the best in the world. From a lively food and culture scene, to gorgeous grounds and historic landmarks, New York is the obvious choice for more reasons than we could count, and needless to say, people are catching on.

Zillow analyzed search data on its platform to uncover what states seem to have NYC FOMO the most. The top results are as follows:
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Washington, D.C.
- Miami, Florida
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Los Angeles, California
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Chicago, Illinois
- Dallas, Texas
- San Fransisco, California
- Tampa, Florida
