If you’re only treating yourself at the city’s oldest candy store, why not venture out and explore this legendary New England destination for candy lovers? Littleton, New Hampshire’s Chutters is home to the Guinness World Records-certified world’s longest continuous candy counter, spanning nearly 112 feet.
Don’t believe it? There’s even a marked ticker running along the front of the counter so you can track each inch as you stroll down this sugary stretch.

Selling over 500 types of candy, from penny candies to international sweets, customers are truly spoiled for choice the moment they enter the nostalgic treat shop. Chutters has been a staple on Littleton’s Main Street since the late 1800s, establishing itself as a local and tourist favorite.
The candy shop is named after its founder, Frederick George Chutter, a Congregational minister who swapped preaching for the dry goods business. He became an important figure in Littleton, with brochures from his time memorializing him as “a warm-hearted, cordial, and enthusiastic man, of optimistic temperament, and much interested in the welfare of Littleton.”

Since 2005, Chutters has been under the ownership of Jim Alden who continues to preserve the shop’s legacy and historic charm in one of America’s nicest small towns according to Reader’s Digest.
In addition to the world’s longest candy counter, Chutters offers its famous fudge (a local favorite with flavors like Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and Orange Creamsicle), baked goods, and New Hampshire-themed souvenirs.

Whether you’re young or young at heart, Chutters is a sweet destination for candy lovers of all ages.
