Caveat is located on 21A Clinton St. in Manhattan. The creators know a thing or two about a great live show as the founders have a background in comedy, theater, and theoretical high energy physics.
Some of the venue’s most notable shows include Raaaatscraps a weekly improv show. It’s run by the same people as ASSSSCAT 3000, the flagship show at the now-closed Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Some performers who have been part of it have been seen on shows such as “Broad City,”, “Succession,” “Mrs. Maisel,” “Kimmy Schmidt,” “30 Rock” & More.
Immigrant Jam – An event that celebrates the beauty of everything cross cultural, immigrant and first-generation comics. It’s hosted by Lucie Pohl, a German-born-NYC-raised comedian and actress. This event happens every first Friday of the month.
Vocabaret – Calling all English majors! Vocabret features some of the best wordsmiths in town. Get ready for puns, jokes and wear your sunglasses because there might be shade thrown! This event has themed nights and the next one takes place on the second Friday of each month.
Citizenship Live – Experience this game show which challenges a team of immigrants and a team of U.S. citizens to answer trivia questions about America and the rest of the world. Test your national and global knowledge, every second Saturday of the month!
Generation Women– Listen to some incredible stories from six women and non-binary performers, each in a different decade of life. Don’t miss out on this inspiring show happening on June 13th!
Projector Fest – June closes out with solo performers creating memorable scenes and entertainment with just a projector behind them. From June 27th-30th audiences will be dazzled with a wide variety of shows from some very talented storytellers!
