Rain might have delayed the Tuesday plans, but the party is officially back on. Soho celebrity hot spot Casasalvo is officially celebrating its one-year anniversary, and they are throwing a generous neighborhood party to celebrate.
The kitchen is run by Chef Salvo LoCastro, the former personal chef to Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Now, he is bringing his culinary passion to New York City and wants to thank locals for a stellar first year.
How to get your free prosecco and cake
Due to inclement weather, today’s celebration has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 23.
The offer remains exactly the same: stop by the restaurant between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. to claim your free prosecco and cake. Anyone who walks through the doors during those hours will be treated to complimentary treats.

“I want to do something nice to thank my guests and neighbors for a wonderful first year,” Chef Salvo shared. “I appreciate their support and want to celebrate this milestone with them.”.
Authentic Sicilian eats in Soho
While you are there for the free bubbly, you might want to stick around for dinner.

Casasalvo serves up incredible authentic Sicilian-Mediterranean cuisine. They take their flavors seriously, flying in fresh ingredients directly from Sicily three times a week.
If you are grabbing a table, you have to try their signature dishes:
- Mt. Etna Meatballs
- Fettuccini Casasalvo (featuring an incredible 8-hour veal ragu)
- Paccheri Pistachio (topped with bronte pistachio cream and crispy guanciale)
