From Williamsburg rooftops to late-night slices, Brooklyn knows how to do a good night out—and Candlelight Wine NYC is adding a candlelit, wine-and-strings twist to the neighborhood’s lineup. At Arlo Williamsburg, guests will sip five wines selected by professionals as a live string quartet pairs each pour with classical music and explains the connection. Tickets are on sale now.
What is Candlelight Wine?
Candlelight Wine is a new tasting experience from Candlelight, and tickets are now on sale in New York. Over 70 minutes, five wines picked by wine professionals for quality, balance, and character are paired with live classical music from a professional string quartet, with one of the musicians leading the way. Think of it as more than a wine tasting with a soundtrack: here, the music steers every sip.

What else do you need to know about this wine-and-strings night?
Hemingway once called wine “the most civilized thing in the world.” Now add a string quartet. The idea behind Candlelight Wine is simple: music shapes how you perceive flavor. So each wine is paired with a piece that either mirrors or contrasts its character, and the musician explains the connection as you go—no wine jargon required.
The evening opens with a piece and a welcome, then moves through five wines, each introduced by the musician and matched with a live performance, before a final piece closes the night. You’ll be seated at tables, so there’s room for conversation between pours.
Evenings start on November 28 and the experience lasts 70 minutes, with doors opening 30 minutes before it starts. It’s 21+ only, so make sure to bring some valid ID with you. Who said Brooklyn couldn’t do classy and cozy at the same time?

Arlo Williamsburg: an eight-story brick tower in the heart of Brooklyn
You’ll find Candlelight Wine at Arlo Williamsburg, a brick tower rising eight stories over Brooklyn. Opened as The Williamsburg Hotel in 2017, it became Arlo Williamsburg in September 2023. Its Water Tower rooftop bar is one of the neighborhood’s most recognizable silhouettes, and the hotel’s ART Williamsburg rooftop looks out over Manhattan, the Williamsburg Bridge, and Brooklyn.
