With countless flickering candles illuminating each unique space, Brooklyn’s Candlelight concerts offer a broad repertoire of musical styles with a classical twist. And now, getting to and from some of your favorite Candlelight Concerts is even easier! You can take NYC Ferry straight to certain venues in Brooklyn starting this November and buy tickets on board by scanning QR codes printed which can be found on the boat.
If you’re headed to St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights or The Opera House and the Williamsburg Hotel, both in Williamsburg, the ferry is a quick and easy transport method.
Located on 157 Montague Street, St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church will be home to many Candlelight Concerts throughout the year. The venue is about a 12 min walk from the DUMBO ferry stop in Brooklyn Heights. For pop fans, there are tributes to Beyonce, Taylor Swift and BTS. The Highline String Quartet will be performing hits from each artist.
For anyone who is a little more rock and roll, there will be shows on Nov. 18 and Dec. 30 featuring a classical rendition of some classic rock anthems. From Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones to Blondie and Aerosmith, you’ll be rocking out in your seat.
And just in time for the holidays, St. Ann’s Church will also be the home of a Candlelight special featuring “The Nutcracker” and other well-known Christmas and holiday songs. These holiday shows will take place on December 10 and 22.
Also in December, the Ballroom at the Williamsburg Hotel will host a very special Candlelight concert. Located on 96 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, the venue is about a 10 minute walk from the South Williamsburg Ferry stop. On Dec. 21, celebrate jazz and soul renditions of holiday classics from songstress Ella Fitzgerald and other artists such as Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole and more.
There will be about 10 vessels from NYC Ferry that will service the East River and South Brooklyn routes, getting concert-goers where they need to be to enjoy these shows in Brooklyn.
You can also get the ferry to the Opera House located at 288 Berry Street in Brooklyn, also a quick walk from the South Williamsburg ferry stop. For film fanatics, there will be a performance of Hans Zimmer film scores on Nov. 13 and Dec. 3. On each night there are two shows one at 6:30 pm and the second at 9:00 pm. Tickets range from $30 to $65. There will also be a show featuring Hans Zimmer scores at The Williamsburg Hotel on Dec. 22.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
