This fall, Adele fans can head to Bridgeport for a Candlelight tribute celebrating the British singer’s powerhouse catalog. Set inside the historic Bijou Theatre, the intimate experience surrounds guests with the warm glow of candlelight while a string quartet performs some of Adele’s most beloved songs.
Adele’s biggest hits will fill this historic theater
The Candlelight: Tribute to Adele concert will take place at the Bijou Theatre, a historic Bridgeport venue located at 275 Fairfield Avenue. The current schedule includes just two performances, on September 19 and December 5.
The 65-minute performance will be led by the Xinyi String Quartet, with a setlist packed with songs spanning Adele’s career. Guests can expect to hear “Hello,” “Rumour Has It,” “Make You Feel My Love,” “Someone Like You,” “Skyfall,” “When We Were Young,” “Set Fire to the Rain,” “Easy On Me,” and “Rolling in the Deep,” among others.

Bridgeport, an affordable suburb with a seriously theatrical past
Beyond the music, Bridgeport brings an unusual bit of history to the evening. The Connecticut city was named the most affordable NYC-metro area in a March 2026 Zumper report, with an average one-bedroom rent of $1,600, making it a notably cheaper alternative for New Yorkers willing to commute.
It also has a rather dramatic claim to fame: Bridgeport is known as the “Circus Capital of the World,” largely thanks to the legendary showman P.T. Barnum.

That long connection to live entertainment is still visible today at the Bijou Theatre, where the Candlelight concert will take place. The venue first opened in 1910 as an opera house before becoming a movie theater and later hosting vaudeville performances.
Today, the 1,430-seat theater has welcomed legendary performers, including Houdini, and continues to host live entertainment more than a century after opening.
