Are you the type of person to reach for sweets in the morning as opposed to say a good ol’ egg sandwich? Well then today may be your lucky day!
Pasta Flyer, a quick serve Italian pasta restaurant in New York will be selling a Sicilian Breakfast Sandwich that consists of a miniature brioche bun with vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry gelato. Sound strange? Well according to chef Mark Ladner, “It’s a summertime tradition in Palermo…People in Palermo actually eat ice cream for breakfast.”
This affordable pasta place (everything on their menu comes in under $10) had planed to offer them up only for a week from 8am till 10am, but may continue to sell them throughout the summer all day long depending on the reaction of New Yorkers. We’ll see what happens!
