Dessert-minded folks: it’s time to have your cake and eat it, too.
All about Cake Picnic coming to NYC
After successful 2025 runs in San Fransisco, Carlsbad, and London — which garnered 1,387, 318, and 463 cakes respectively — the fun is NYC-bound this November. We recommend you save some room.
From upside down cakes and Princess cakes to Russian honey cakes and meringue cakes, this gathering celebrates the dessert in all of its tasty forms. The only requirement? No cake, no entry. Now is the time to dig that favorite recipe out of the kitchen drawer or fetch it from your Pinterest page.
The idea behind Cake Picnic was simple: founder Elisa Sunga’s sweet tooth was kicking in. (We’ve been there!)
“In my earliest daydreams of this event, it was a small and intimate picnic of maybe 15 new friends forming a circle at the park,” she writes in a statement on the Cake Picnic website. “Once we’ve formed our circle, we would take turns introducing ourselves and what cake we brought to the picnic. I had no idea this would draw such a crowd and that everyone would share my dream so passionately.”
Registration for the NYC event opens on Monday, October 6th at 1pm ET.
Be sure to set your alarms — this event is sure to sell out quickly. Tickets begin at $50 and cap at $80 for those who’d like entry and a t-shirt.
We’ll see you there, NYC! We can’t wait to see what you bake. While you wait, enjoy a bite from our go-to bakeries in NYC.
