This Asia- fusion restaurant is taking outdoor dining to a whole new level. Buddakan’s outdoor seating is decked out with vibrant lanterns creating an enchanting spectacle for nighttime dining. This lantern lit dinner is located right in Chelsea serving as an escape into another world.
First opened in 2006, this restaurant has an “atmosphere that marries the serenity of Asia with the flamboyance of 16th-century Paris,” as stated on their website. They have effectively brought their ornate decor from their interior to the street!
Buddakan offers flavors from the Far East with dishes like Oxtail Dumplings, Pea Shoot Salad, Kung Pao Monkfish, Peking Duck For Two, Wok Tossed Noodles With Prawns, and Lobster Fried Rice. Their specialty cocktails are sure to brighten your night with the Tempest made of flor de cana aged rum, st. elizabeth spiced dram, yuzu, ginger beer or Blush featuring gabriel boudier gin, lychee, lime.
Buddakan is located at 75 9th Avenue, New York and is open from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Happy hour run every Monday through Friday outside only until 6 p.m.
