Summer in NYC can mean a lot of different things—pool time, Mister Softee, and of course, park yoga.
One of the most popular sessions comes from Bryant Park, which opens up their great green lawn (which was recently mowed in the shape of a heart!) every summer for free weekday yoga classes. Though summer in the city is looking quite different this year, the midtown Park is still hosting their outdoor yoga sessions…just in your home instead!
LIVE on Tuesdays at 10am and Wednesdays at 6pm, they will hold free one-hour classes on their Instagram account. You can also watch past classes on their IGTV.
“All you need is a phone or computer, a mat if you use one, and a quiet space with enough room for your practice,” they wrote.

You can find out more details online here. Below is the schedule with the instructors planned thus dar:
- Tuesday June 9, 10am: Bee Creel
- Wednesday June 10, 6pm: Kristen Kemp
- Tuesday June 16, 10am: Ben Sears
- Wednesday June 17, 6pm: Colleen Yee
- Tuesday June 23, 10am: Angelica Wilson
- Wednesday June 24, 6pm: Madeline Hickman
The classes will be held from the instructors’ homes and not the Park, but it provides a nice hold-over until they “see you back in the Park later this summer” (their words)!
