Last year, the Park brought the arts back to NYC by hosting tons of outdoor performances, welcoming programs from the likes of the New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Well now it’s back and better than ever, with Picnic Performances, presented by Bank of America, kicking off on Thursday, June 1st. The series of performances will feature most of those same favorites including the New York City Opera, American Symphony Orchestra, along with additions such as Drom and Jalopy Theatre.
Performances are entirely free and open to the public, with no advanced tickets required this year. Plus, more than 20 of the performances will be available to watch via livestream on Bryant Park’s social media and website.
Besides the big-name New York institutions shared above, other performances include: the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Accordions Around the World mini-festival, Ailey II Dance Company and others.
