Whether you’re a yogi or someone more inclined to say “Namast-ay at home,” Bryant Park’s amazing free yoga classes are worth attending.
And, for the first time in two years, they are finally returning to the Midtown green space!
These hour-long classes focus on healing and stress reduction with the first class of the season beginning on June 16 this year (at 6 p.m.). They will continue all summer long through August 18.
The lawn will be limited to 500 people and you will need to register individually for each class on their website here. Unlike in years past when mats were provided, you will have to bring your own this year. Social distancing will be enforced, and face masks are recommended but not required.
The classes are designed for yogis of all levels, led by expert instructors like beloved NYC studio owner Bethany Lyons and Bryant Park favorite Sara Clark.
Classes will take place Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the Lawn.
And if you can’t attend in person, the classes will be livestreamed on the Byrant Park Instagram page @bryantparknyc! This was due to the online classes’ wide popularity during the pandemic last year when the in-person classes were suspended.
As you can probably tell from the picture above (and from attending previous years, course), these classes fill up quickly! So be sure to reserve a spot in advance here.
