“Where Brooklyn at? Where Brooklyn at?” New Yorkers know, when we think about nutcrackers in the five boroughs…a ballet might not be the first thing that comes to mind (iykyk). But this season, Brooklyn Ballet is changing that by spicing up the holidays with “The Brooklyn Nutcracker.” Tickets are on sale and dates are limited as it runs from Dec. 12th-15th and takes place in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn at The Theater at City Tech!
Don’t get it twisted, this ballet combines the art of hip-hop and global dance together. This version of “The Nutcracker” even has crews that face off in a dance battle!
This ballet is a retelling of a classic and a celebration of culture and diversity. It’s also a nod to the beloved borough it’s named after and where it takes place! The Theater at City Tech on 275 Jay St. (in Brooklyn of course!) will be home to these incredible holiday shows!
