Beyond The Streets, curated by Roger Gastman, is the ultimate exhibition to learn about street art’s most influential artists from around the world.
Gastman has widely been recognized for his work in connecting street art to the art world, notable works include co-producing Banksy’s Exit Through The Gift Shop documentary and most recently his popular MoCA LA exhibition, Art in the Streets. After the successful LA show broke MoCA’s attendance record with 220,000 visitors, Gastman decided to bring round two of his exhibition to the epicenter of the street art movement. Hosted on two floors of Williamsburg’s Twenty Five Kent, Beyond The Streets will include works by artists who started out from street art, performances, lectures and films.
As with any post-museum trip, you’ll be greeted with the aesthetically pleasing gift shop. The Beyond The Streets version will be NYC-specific with all the usual items like apparel, prints, accessories and more. Keep an eye out for the limited edition artist collabs and a capsule collection in partnership with one of their sponsors, Adidas, to benefit the Harold Hunter Foundation.
