For one of the better pilates studios for mobility, fitness, and ease, Dynamic Body Pilates is a quieter, boutique location. Though you can get typical pilates classes here, the true emphasis here is on physical therapy and pain management type exercises. In our opinion BodyRok, offers some of the most intense pilates workouts in the entire city! Their 45 minute sessions aim to improve your energy levels, boost your metabolism, and help sculpt and define your body. What separates them from the crowd is their custom BodyRok reformers that are built specifically for their sessions. Their instructors are extremely accommodating and make a workout worth it, whether it’s your first time or the hundredth. Their classes are $20 for beginners, $36 for single classes, and so many more packages that come with bundled classes. We definitely suggest stopping into see their custom equipment in person!

11. Westside Pilates
Westside Pilates is the best of the best for classical pilates, and their classes prove it. Their lovely instructors offer private, duo, and trio classes that start at just $40! Each class is personally created for a client, and is performed in one of their studios that ensue calmness and stability (some major aspects of pilates). Their UWS studio also has acupuncture services available, while their Long Island City location has physical therapy services! If you’re looking for very intimate class settings, this studio is the one for you.

12. SLT
SLT stands for Strengthen, Lengthen, Tone, which are the three core principles of the workouts at this NYC studio. Founded in 2011 by Amanda Freeman, her and her instructors have been serving up calorie-crunch workouts for over a decade. The classes here focus more on slower and controlled movements that lead to muscle development and increased stamina.
