Christmas caroling is a holiday tradition and no matter what you believe or celebrate, nothing is more festive than breaking out in song along with your fellow New Yorkers! Whether taking place at one of the prettiest churches in the city or on the street or in a park, caroling brings out the best in everyone. Check out these ten concerts taking place this month below!
1. Battery Park Holiday Lights
Caroling, warm beverages and sweet treats are all for free this year at the Battery Park tree lighting! Of course, a holiday donation is more than welcome in the form of an unwrapped gift for those in need. Bring the whole family to join in on the festivities.

When: Thursday, December 6 at 6 pm
2. TUBACHRISTMAS
This year is the 45th anniversary of TUBACHRISTMAS, a performance of traditional Christmas tunes that takes place all over the world! If you’re a tuba player (or not), you won’t want to miss this epic concert.
Where: The Rink at Rockefeller Center
When: December 9 at 3:30 pm, registration starts at 1 pm
3. Community Caroling At St. Paul’s Chapel
This community based event will be an extravaganza of Christmas favorites for brass and choir with audience participation, choir groups, Downtown Voices, the Trinity Youth Chorus, and Trinity’s new music orchestra, NOVUS.
Where: St. Paul’s Chapel at Broadway and Fulton Street
When: Saturday, December 22 at 7:30 and Sunday, December 23 at 3 pm
4. Washington Square Christmas Eve Caroling
Join in on the cheer with a free caroling event at Washington Square Park. This year, The Rob Susman Brass Quartet will be playing all our favorite holiday tunes. Songbooks will also be distributed by the Washington Square Association but we’re pretty sure you’ll know the words to most songs!

6. Harlem Gospel Choir Christmas Show
The Harlem Gospel Choir tours the world so having them so close is a true treat. This year, they will be back in New York for the Christmas holiday performing at Sony Hall.

When: Monday-Tuesday, December 24-25 at various times
7. Christmas Eve Caroling in Gramercy Park
Caroling at Gramercy Park is like an extra treat because gates to the park are unlocked for an hour and you can join in the celebration with members of the Parish of Calvary St. George in their holiday cheer.
Where: Gramercy Park between 20th and 21st Streets
When: Monday, December 24, at 6 pm
8. Holiday Carolers Brunch
This year marks the 5th annual Holiday Carolers Brunch. Live caroling, brunch and hot chocolate will be available to enjoy!

When: Saturday, December 1, 8, 15, 22, 24, and 25
9. Zum Schneider Caroling
Mulled wine, German and English caroling (with songbooks to follow along), festive decor and even traditional German food are a few of the highlights from the caroling experience at the Zum Schneider beer garden. Reservations aren’t taken for the caroling so if you’re looking for an indoor experience best get there early.

10. A Bach New Year’s Eve
If out of control partying isn’t your thing and you’re hopping to ring in the New Year like a refined gentleman (or woman) this timeless concert at the Church of the Holy Trinity is a great and beautiful option. This year, Amor Artis will be featuring the music of Bach on strings.
