As the name suggests, if you’re looking for very special cheesecake in NYC, Eileen’s Special Cheesecake delivers. With all handmade cheesecakes crafted fresh daily, you’re promised a product equal parts delicious as it is pretty! The cakes here come in splashes of bright colors and chocolate swirls, with offerings of fresh fruit galore to give every bite a bit of extra flavor. They typically come in 6″ and 10″ sizes, and they are even selling special Valentine’s Day heart shaped cheesecakes too for the holiday!

2. Junior’s Restaurant, Midtown + Brooklyn
Proud host to the “World’s Most Fabulous Cheesecake,” Junior’s Restaurant quite literally serves one of the most iconic slices in all of NYC. We of course suggest order their classic Original NY Plain Cheesecake (because it’s just so good), but they have tons of options, including Raspberry Swirl, Apple Crumb, and Little Fellas, bite-size delights that give you a smaller portion of cheesecake goodness.

3. Veniero’s, East Village
It’s no shock that Veniero’s cheesecakes are some of the freshest in the entire city. Made from ingredients that are delivered fresh daily, every bite of the famous strawberry cheesecake has a garden-to-table immediacy that’s sure to refresh your body and soul. This place offers way more than cheesecakes too. With over 200 varieties of desserts here, like biscotti, pastries, cannolis, and more, you’re sure to find at least a few flavors to fall in love with!

4. Pinklady Cheese Tart, Chinatown
If you’re looking for a rather unique take on a cheesecake-style dish, Pinklady Cheese Tart offers a lighter treat. Made from an oozy cheese mousse with three types of rich cheese and cream, these Japanese-style snacks condense the flavor of cheesecake into a yummy bite-size package! I mean come on…look how pretty they look! We suggest stopping here after trying out one of Chinatown’s restaurants.

5. Mia’s Bakery, DUMBO
With locations in Brooklyn and Times Square, Mia’s Bakery has not one, but two of the best cheesecake spots in NYC! Flavors here span eight mouth-watering types, including everything from Apple and Pecan varieties to juicy, fruity types like Blueberry, Cherry and Strawberry varieties. Plus, they of course sell the NY Classic cheesecake as well as our favorites, the Caramel and Oreo styles.

6. Dominique Ansel Bakery, SoHo
Dominique Ansel Bakery is one of our favorite spots for many things, including hot chocolate and also…cheesecake! Their Triple Cheese Cheesecake, which is utterly mouthwatering, is a refreshing delight made with silky cream cheese, mascarpone, and crème fraîche, almond crumble, and almond biscuit. If you stop in their SoHo shop, pick up a cake and stay a while to be mesmerized by the array signature desserts and pastries on show.

7. Little Pie Company, Midtown West
Little Pie Company serves only one kind of cheesecake, but it’s incredibly rich in flavor. The specialty New York Cheesecake is made with fresh cream cheese, pure vanilla, a golden graham cracker crust, and served with fresh fruit or fruit glaze. If you want a classic slice, we recommend this. Or even order online as they ship everywhere!

8. Spot Dessert Bar, East Village & Flushing
With a seasonal menu offering specialty cheesecakes at special times of the year, Spot Dessert Bar is where you may spot some of the best Cheesecake in NYC at the right time. Their summer menu, for one, offers a passionfruit cheesecake that you won’t find anywhere else. Or their signature item, The Harvest, also features cheesecake, alongside the beautifully-blended flavors of berries, oreo crumbs, and earl grey milk tea for an extra splash of sweetness.

With a unique twist on cheesecake making, Lady M’s cakes take format in mille crêpes style, which entails 20+ layers of creamy goodness stacked in order to make the full cake. These gourmet creations range in special flavors as well, spanning from Green Tea Mille Crêpes to Pistachio Mille Crêpes. Seriously, these cheesecakes are art and the flavors are extraordinary.
