This Queens Diner Has Transformed Into An Amazing Drive-In Destination

Bel Aire Diner in Astoria, Queens was ahead of its time when it opened the first drive-in movie theater in NYC during the pandemic.

And now it’s taken that drive-in experience to a whole new level!

The groups transforms their shared parking lot each week, hosting a mix of events like from drag shows to paint-and-sip nights to concerts and more.

Here are some to check out and how to grab tickets!

Comedy Shows

Relive your favorite live stand-up right from your car! “The Laugh-In” is hosted by John Moses of Gotham Comedy Club (subject to change) and is sure to get you laughing and entertain you all evening long, with DJ Weese spinning music all night as well. It’s a fantastic way to decompress after a long week.

When: Every Saturday, 7:30 pm/8pm – 9 pm. Must be 21+ to attend.

Of course they are still doing the classic! The latest movie to show is “Triple Threat,” a movie about three friends who dream of getting their original musical, Firefly, to Broadway.

Monday Night Football

Miss heading out to a sports bar to watch the big game? Drive into one instead! This is their first ever live sports stream and they’re going all out with a 30-foot screen. Plus, they’re treating everyone to beer, a main course and wings to munch your way through as you enjoy the game.
