‘Beetlejuice’ Has Officially Been Summoned to Broadway
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! It seems that NYC has summoned him to the stage.

It was announced this week that the Tim Burton cult-classic will officially be making it’s way to Broadway soon. The Beetlejuice musical has already begun  workshoping the adaptation last fall; and although the cast has not yet been announced, we know the workshops included Kerry Butler, Danny Pudi, and Alex Brightman as cast members.

The show will first debut in Washington, D.C. this October at the National Theatre (just in time for halloween), before creeping it’s way north to NYC likely sometime in early 2019.

The raunchy musical is being directed by Alex Timbers—a co-creator of Mozart in the Jungle and a two-time Tony nominee—and “will carry a creative team that includes names from some of Broadway’s biggest recent hits, including Hamilton and The Producers,” according to a Deadline report. The music and lyrics will be written by Eddie Perfect, and the chorepgraphy by Connor Gallagher. Stay tuned to find out who the full cast will include!

As Beetlejuice himself would say: It’s showtime.
