New York City’s food scene is unmatched when it comes to flavor, but it’s also just as beautiful—and now it’s finally getting a nod from the elite.
One restaurant in Tribeca in particular is capturing the attention of some of the architecture and design world’s highest honors, earning a spot on the prestigious Prix Versailles’ 2025 list of the World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants.
Each year, Prix Versailles—an international architecture and design award supported by UNESCO—releases a list of standout restaurants and hotels that reflect what it calls the “dominant aesthetic and cultural dynamics around the world.”
In 2025, Beefbar, a steakhouse in Manhattan and the first U.S. location of Riccardo Giraudi’s Monte Carlo-born restaurant brand earned a coveted spot on the list.

The sophisticated dining concept officially opened in NYC back in April 2024, with the main goal of “redefining the modern meat restaurant experience.”
It appears they have.
The restaurant, which took over the former Nobu space in Tribeca, was fully reimagined by French interior design firm Humbert & Poyet—a major reason it earned the “most beautiful” distinction.
Prix Versailles specifically noted that it’s a “perfect reflection of New York,” highlighting the “building with Art Deco accents featuring high ceilings punctuated by tall arched windows.”
As for the interior itself, Prix Versailles praised its eclectic blend of textures and time periods:
“Adorned in a lovely variety of textiles and materials, an abundance that was inspired by a kaleidoscopic vision of history: from a refined version of the historic motif in the Versailles parquet floor to a recollection of the industrial heritage of this part of Manhattan, and from garnet marble cladding to terrazzo flooring.”

And while the design might first draw you in, the menu is just as indulgent.
Think elevated street food-inspired starters like Kobe beef gyros and crispy steak bao, alongside premium cuts of meat sourced from around the world. There’s even a playful spin on fast food with their signature ‘Truffle Wagyu Burger’—because luxury doesn’t have to be stuffy.
Beefbar is joined by only one other restaurant from the United States, Japón in Miami Beach. Meanwhile, the rest of the gorgeous dining rooms span all corners of the globe—from Indonesia to London and beyond.
The full lineup spans five continents—proof that design, culture, and cuisine are more intertwined than ever. Here are all the restaurants that made the cut this year:
